As the title mentions, ANYONE could be a writer in Malaysia. You don’t need no flair in your writing, nor do you need to use any brain juice at all. Oh, and it also doesn’t even matter if your English is not great, you can be a successful writer in Malaysia easy peasy and here are 4 steps to show you how!

Step 1: Stalk portals that publish share-worthy articles. Psst, we think World of Buzz has pretty good ones.

Step 2: Choose the article of your choice.

Step 3: Ctrl+C (copy)

Step 4: Ctrl+V (paste)

Basically, you don’t need any skills but the ability to know how to use “Ctrl+C” then “Ctrl+V” and you’re all set!

That one, literally anyone could do.

I’m sure everyone can sense the sarcasm oooozing out from this article.

If you’re someone who’s all rainbow and unicorns, turn away now! This article may get a little negative.

Here we highlight a very frustrating issue where lazy writers literally copy paste articles into their own portal. Heck, they even have the audacity to bulat-bulat copy 100% of the whole article.

Malaysian portal The Coverage is a prime example of this serious plagiarism issue.

Here’s a side by side comparison of their article (left) and ours (right). #kantoi

Walaoehhh. Need or not orh. Dah la content copy bulat-bulat. Title and the image that I personally edited also wanna copyyyyyyy. Sien lo like that.

Dear fellow Malaysians, you feel our pain anottt?

Except them adding one or two images here an there, everything else is copied, WORD FOR WORD. The writer didn’t even have the courtesy to use their own title and image.

For ya’ll who don’t really understand how it feels, it’s like you writing your homework and your teacher gives you an A. Then your lazy f***ing classmate copy paste 100% of your work and also gets an A. Please excuse my French, it’s pretty frustrating stuff.

Obviously upset, I tried to contact The Coverage via Facebook message. Here’s how they dealt with my complaint.

Walao kanina ahhh, they seen my message! Twice!

In fact this isn’t the first time Coverage has done such a thing. Here’s another pretty recent article they copy pasted from us 100%.

Fellow portal Cilisos knows the pain as they were plagiarized by a few portals before as well. You can read their full deets here.

100% plagiarism has happened quite often. World of Buzz will not mention other portals because they quickly tried to amend their mistakes. We try to be the bigger person ma.

We wanna give chance and sort it out with the Coverage, but they failed to respond to us. AND how to forgive these kinda people especially when they “seen” your message? Twice?

These ‘writers’ are hired to literally sit on their ass in their comfortable office while they just copy paste articles that people written. No effort needed whatsoever.

Anyone else wants to be a writer?

Update: The Coverage finally replied to us and claimed it took them so long because they don’t check their Facebook page. Then what is this!

Anyway, they said they will take down the article within the day, although we requested it to be done within the hour. There’s no reason for them to take this long.. Unless ofcourse they want to let our stolen article circulate longer la!

Oh wellz. What to do?
