Listen to this post:
World of Buzz crew just took on Bangkok last week (okay we actually just went there for a holiday) but my love for the city is real.
The first time I stayed in a hostel was in Bangkok and even though some people might cringe at the idea, you’d be pretty surprised how pleasant it actually is. Hostels bring a totally different experience and is perfect for young travellers because you are able to make friends from countries like Japan, Korea, America and literally anywhere. So don’t knock it until you’ve try it!
Although Malaysian currency isn’t doing too well, Thailand is still one of the top destinations we can still afford, especially when you’re staying one of these places:
1. The Blocks Hostel
The hostel is located in a quiet alley just right next to the main road and it is situated between two BTS stations, Asok and Nana. Choose your pick which station you want to go to because they are both only a 4 minute walk away. Besides that, there’s a nice mall 5 minutes down the street from the hostel.
Unlike most hostels, this place offers a lift so you don’t have to lug your heavy baggage up flights of stairs. So it’s definitely a plus!
Address: 1/3-4 Sukhumvit Soi 10 Klongtoey, Sukhumvit, Bangkok, Thailand
Price: From RM34 per night
2. Matchbox Hostel
Matchbox hostel is located very conveniently near a BTS, Phrom Phong Station which is a 6 minute walk away. Right next to the station is Bangkok’s new luxury mall, Emquartier that is worth checking out.
The capsules this hostel offer are clean and comes with a curtain so you can have your own privacy and it’s less awkward when you’re sharing with strangers.
Address: 12/17, Sukhumvit 33, Sukhumvit road, Klong Tun Nua, Bangkok Thailand

3. Boxpackers Hostel
Boxpackers is known for their comfort and value for money. It is 6 minutes away from the airport rail link so it is super convenient to get to if you’re coming from Suvarnabhumi airport. Although the nearest BTS station is 10 minutes walk away, the place is surrounded with Bangkok’s famous malls like Platinum Fashion Mall, Pratunam Market and Pantip Plaza IT Mall.
Address: 39/3 Soi Phetburi 15, Petchburi Road, ThanonPhayathai, Rajathevi, Pratunam, Bangkok, Thailand
Price: From RM44 a night
4. Glur Bangkok Hostel
Glur has very uniquely infuse both cafe and hostel together so travellers are welcomed with fragrant coffee aroma upon entering the place. Visitors have commented the hostel to be one of the best locations as it is situation 5 minutes away from Sapahan Taksin BTS station and conveniently located near Asiatique, Lebua Sky Bar and a supermarket.

Analog Hostel has amazed travellers with its price, hygiene and hospitality that makes anyone feel instantly at home. The beautiful vintage and industrial theme of the hostel was designed by the owners themselves. The place is located just 8 minutes walk away from a BTS station and is situation between Emporium and Terminal 21 mall.
An additional plus is that the owner of the hostel homes two very adorable and very friendly doggies to guests to play with.
